A7s in the hometheater/casual listening room have a Simaudio integrated amp powering them. The other room, all analog with an Oracle TT and 604-8Ks have a Jolida 801 propelling the music.

Enjoying Altec Speakers since 1972
OK, I'm reviving this dead ol' thread.
I recently scored a very nice Altec 9444A/SA - this thing is super clean and I got it for less than $90.
The amp has loads of clean power and sounds pretty good. I need to pull out my pre-amp and see how it goes.
